About Gina
Gina Patel (she/her) is an award‑winning South Asian disabled advocate with 16 years of leadership driven by lived experience and deep commitment to EDI, shaping her work across equity, inclusion and the representation of marginalised communities. Her advocacy includes serving as the youngest and least senior Staff Network Co‑Chair for the disability community at her employer’s disability network.
Gina has devised two social impact campaigns that reached significant national engagement, including over 100,000 social media impressions and a petition delivered to 10 Downing Street. Her website, which has an international audience, is ranked number one on Google, and she has been featured across national, regional and local media for her advocacy and public leadership.
In 2021, Gina delivered Disability and Ambitions at TEDxWolverhampton, a talk that has reached 2,000 views on YouTube. Her work across all levels, including international reach, continues to centre lived experience, organisational perception and the belief that human potential becomes unmistakable when systems tune their perception, not when individuals work harder.
