About Gina

Gina Patel (she/her) is an award-winning South Asian disabled advocate with 16 years of advocacy experience driven by lived experience and deep commitment to EDI.

Her work includes serving as the youngest and least senior staff network co‑chair for the disability community at her employer’s disability network.

Gina has devised two social media campaigns that reached significant national coverage beyond her expectations, including over 100,000 social media impressions and a petition delivered to 10 Downing Street. Her website which has an international audience is ranked number one on Google and she has been featured across national, regional and local media for her advocacy.

In 2021, Gina delivered Disability and Ambitions at TEDxWolverhampton, a talk that has reached 2,092 views on YouTube.
