My priorities for Wednesbury if elected
If I am elected for Wednesbury, I commit to the following:
📣 Be accountable to you.
If I don’t deliver for you, you can hold me accountable and I’ll do everything in my power to regain your trust
A real voice for you where it really counts!
Unlike councillors who belong to a political party, if elected I won’t have to vote against any party values. If I need to vote on a motion, I will vote with your best interests at heart
Campaign for a safer and accessible Wednesbury where local businesses can thrive and feel supported.
Work with our police and the council to prevent anti social behaviour and noise disruption.
No photo opportunities, social media posts with slogans or intrusive door knocking
I will represent you, be visible to you, speak out for you and hold people to account until the correct action is taken.
🗣️ Speaking out for all marginalised communities
Using my lived experience as a South Asian disabled woman I will campaign for:
Campaign for more changing places facilities and other accessible ambulant facilities
Push for accessible communication, especially for easy-read communication.
Push for accessibility so disabled people feel as part of the community. Whether that is communication or getting out and about.
As an ally I will:
I will campaign for fair treatment of the LGBTQIA+ community within the council.
Develop safe spaces for all communities to come together and build a support network.
